MORRIS MINOR CONVERTIBLE - 1963
"MARIBELLE" - BOE 955A

Maribelle was first registered as 381 XKL on 14th May, 1963, the first owner being Astrid Elvira Stanforth of Littlehampton, near Brighton on the South Coast of England. She remained in Mrs Stanforth's ownership until 25th June 1985, by which time she'd moved to Horsham.

The second owner was Miss Kerry Marshall of Chelmsford, Essex, who sold Maribelle on 10th June 1988, to Mrs. Madelaine S. Petts Sabine of Worthing, West Sussex - only a few miles from the original owner's address - where she stayed for just over ten years until sold to a Mr Robert Morley of Littlehampton on 7th July, 1998.

When she came into Mr Morley's possession, she was completely run-down and in need of a total overhaul. He carried out extensive welding repairs plus a respray, changing the colour from the original Olde-English White to Snowberry White. Over the four years from 1998 until 2nd November 2002, she covered less than 100 miles, generally only being used when taken to the garage for the annual M.O.T. test. Realising that he was getting little use out of the car, Mr Morley sold the car to us on 2nd November 2002 at which time we drove her from Littlehampton to Cannock in Staffordshire - a distance of some 220 miles.

Further restoration took place over the subsequent winter months so that she was available for hire for the 2003 wedding season and onwards.

She is now regularly used as a sister car to Mirabelle, usually transporting bridesmaids etc.
